Scholarship 2010
A scholarship for the best Swiss candidate, amounting to CHF 8,000.--, was awarded to Eve-Maud Hubeaux.
Eve-Maud Hubeaux, mezzo-soprano
Mezzo-soprano Eve-Maud Hubeaux was born in Geneva in 1988. She began her studies in music with a concert diploma as a pianist. Parallel to this, she began her vocal training in 2001 with Hiroko Kawamichi at the Conservatoire de Lausanne, where she graduated with distinction in 2007. She is the winner of the “Prix Jacquart” and the “Prix De Crouzaz” and the SMJW. Thereafter she attended maser classes with Peter Galliard, Julian Gavin and Laura Sarti. Her concert repertoire comprises works by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Schubert and Vivaldi.
She was the winner of the Schlossoper Haldenstein Audition Competition in 2009. Her roles until now include, among others: Ines in Verdi’s “Il Trovatore”; Aladdin’s mother in Nino Rota’s “Aladin et la lampe magique”; and Driade in Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos.”
Since autumn 2009 a member of the Opera Studio of the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg. The following roles were planned: Fidelma in Cimarosa’s “Il Matrimonio Segreto”; Marcellina in Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro.”
Apart from her singing career, Eve-Maud Hubeaux established her second mainstay as a lawyer. In 2009 she obtained her Masters in Jurisprudence from the Université de Savoie-Chambéry, after having already earned her Bachelor Degree in Swiss Law and her Masters in French Civil Law from the University of Lausanne.

A scholarship for master classes of CHF 8000.- to attend the master classes will be awarded to the best Swiss participant (Swiss passport required).
This scholarship can be presented as additional award to one of the winners or to another singer not among the winners.
